November Fun

I have been having fun working on the HAPPY HAPPY CHRISTMAS workshop put out by CTMH. Love it.

I will post pictures after my workshop on Monday November the 14th.  The event is posted on my facebook page Scrapbook Fun. If you wish to join in and follow along you can order from my website Scrapbook Fun by Kerry. I am making all the projects as I had the last 3 extras. For the magnetic board one I am doing it as a page as I do not have the magnetic frame.

I am a little late updating as I have been busy doing the pages and getting ready to quilt.  Some big projects to get done for Christmas gifts.  I do believe that I now have all the Christmas pages done and just have to add photos to them. So excited.  I have done the Happy Happy Christmas workshop, the OH Deer workshops your way and the City Sidewalks workshops your way. I will be posting all the photos after the weekend.  I still have some cards to make.  I think I will also have most of my cards done as well.

Hope you all have a great week and Happy Crafting.

Events and More

Check my event on the sidebar.  I am looking forward to having fun and getting back into crafting.
Check out my facebook page as well. My event and newsletter will post later today.

The weather looked like rain today and now the sun is shining brightly.

The golf course is calling and it will have to wait as there are things that are required to be done.  I do have to find an oven element. Tried cooking last night and thought hmmmm the beeper had not gone. Decided to check it out as it had been almost hour (so I realized) and still not where it should be. Supper changed and broil it was.  Turned out and was quite good.

There are so many new products out and I would like them all.  I guess a few at a time over the year will work. I am hoping to play some time today and make a list of the things I would like from both idea books and then choose the priority ones.

I am looking forward to the new colours and the new stamp pads. I am looking forward to the Work Place Wonder being available.  It looks like it will be awesome.

Have fun checking out all the new stuff.

Have a great day.

Some New Things

Hello Everyone,
I have been busy trying to organize my house, do books and scrapbook, some holidays and time with my grandchildren.

I am going to try to get caught up with my CTMH stuff over the next few days.  I was hoping to have some samples of my own to post for the new product as it looks so awesome. My order has traveled a large portion of Canada due to the confusion with Canada Post and the threat of a strike or lock out. It is supposed to be on the way back from Ontario now so hopefully it will be here soon.

I am just going to post a few new things my website instead. When I have time I will work on the product and get it on here.

All the product I have coming was to do the challenges from the Virtual convention. The ladies at corporate and I had good laugh over that. I guess it will be a rush to get it done. It will get done though.

Here are some pictures of some of the new products and you can check them all out at Scrapbook Fun.

Whimsy Fundamentals

Picture My Life

New Inks and Ink Pads

Basics Fundamentals - Rustic Home

Thin Cuts - Hearts

Adventure Fundamentals

Cricut - Flower Market

Take a tour through the new Idea Book. It has many knew items. I am also excited to get the knew Holiday Expressions and order some of that product. So many choices of exciting things and having to choose what to order first.

Have a great day.

Welcome to the Hearts of the West team blog hop.

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features
Close To My Heart Consultants from all over Canada

This months challenge is the Calypso paper pack, brought to you by the Expressions 2 2016, hand picked from Nancy Klein.

the team with us.

I used the Magical Workshops Your Way to make the following pages. I have yet to put the photos on and journal. I hope to have them done sometime soon.

I got 3 -2 page spreads, card scrapbook pages and 9 cards out of one workshop with some paper and bits left over. I am going to start putting all the bits into a container and use them on other pages and in my workshops.

I love these as they are quick and you do not have to stamp unless you wish to.

For the cards I have used a discontinued stamp set A1136 Card Chatter Focus on You and C1631 Birthday Princess as I do not have the stamp set Fairytale Birtday B1534. I used used Glacier ink, Archival black, Shin Han Markers to colour the Princess.

Stamping with Misti

Hello Everyone,

I have been having fun with the MISTI. Like I said it sat in my scrap room for a long time. I tried it and didn't like it much. I have watched some videos on youtube and now use it quite often.

I used CTMH products-inks, thin cuts, stamp sets, and Cricut cartridges.

I did the cut outs first. I then put the piece with the negative space into the MISTI, lined up the stamp in the space, closed it so the stamp would stick to the door section, then put the cut out into the space, inked the stamp and stamped on the shape. Made it very easy to do.  It lined it up quite nicely.

I also stamped onto cards. I was making more than one of the same card so once the stamp was where I wanted it on the card I closed the MISTI so the stamp would stick to the door then  inked the stamp and stamped away. The image was in the same spot on each card. I did not show them here as they are going to be on my blog hop for July.

I will always have my blocks as they come in handy for stamping on larger pages and items.

Have fun stamping and have a great week.

I have chosen to make the Workshops Your Way Calypso (G1109) projects.

For the cards in the workshop I used My Acrylix stamp set Tickled Pink (C1651) and corresponding Thin Cuts Tickled Pink (Z3228).

Also for the the cards I used the stamp pads Cotton Candy and Black, and White card and envelope value pack (x254).

I Had fun playing with some water colour and making the pages. I have not put photos on yet. I am trying to find some summer zoo photos. I haven't printed them yet so I discovered. The winter photos at the zoo that I have printed just don't quite work.

I had fun working on the cards and using the Thin Cuts as well.

April is Ending and May Beginning

Hello Everyone,

Today is the last day to order from the Seasonal Expressions 1. There are some awesome products
in the book. Studio J will no longer be available after today. If you have any unfinished projects they will need to be done today.

Tomorrow is the start of National Scrapbooking Month and the Happy Times paper pack and stamp set.  With a $70 purchase can order the paper pack for free. You can purchase the the paper pack as well for $17.75. You will be able to check it out tomorrow on my website.

Seasonal Expressions 2 starts tomorrow. The paper packs are beautiful. I had a hard time trying to choose what I would like to show my customers first.

I am still in the middle of sorting my scrapbook room and am making progress. I have had fun finding things I forgot I had and letting go of things I know I will never use as they have been here for a long time (years). I will be exploring the selling of some tools that I don't use anymore such as cutters and such. Parting with them will make more room for future tools if they are required. LOL

Check out my website for the May Stamp of the Month.

There will be a number of stamp sets retiring in July. If you wish to know which ones please contact me so you don't miss out on that stamp set you may have really wanted.

Take care and have a great day.

April

I realized the other day that I had not updated my blog.

I am in the middle of a mess and had to move things around as work is being done on my bedroom. It has been almost a year trying to find someone that had time to come and work on it. The things you find when this starts is amazing.

I will be off to town soon so that I can pick out paint colours and light fixtures. I am looking forward to the bedroom being done.

I am looking for new kitchen cupboards as well so have some planning to do. I have to get packing boxes and pack some things from my upper cabinets on the one end as we discovered that there is no support wall. Well what we thought was a support wall is not. I think it is a good thing that we found that out before I ordered the new cupboards.

I am still sorting and getting my scrapbook room  organized and slowly purchasing storage items. It will hopefully be done soon. I will be working on it this weekend.

I have started my memory quilts that I have put off for 10 years. I think I can now work on them. I got many squares cut out at the Glidden function and I think that I am going to work on them at Shekinah as well. I may take some scrapbook stuff that I have prepared in case I decide to take a break from quilting.

My granddaughter is turning 1 this month. I have been busy crocheting for her. She is getting a cute little hat and a blanket and some other things.

This is the last month to order from the  Expressions 1 catalogue. The new book will be starting May 1. It has some amazing new product. I am lucky as a consultant to preview and use the new product this month.

Have a great month.

Saturday 12 March 2016

Yay!!

Another awesome ladies craft day in Glidden for international women's day. A great group of women and awesome food.

We did not get stormed stayed this year so had to go home. We do get more done when we do hey ladies. Maybe next year.

Thanks to all that put it on and for our guest speaker. This year we discussed women with disabilities and health challenges especially hidden ones.

I only have a few more squares left to cut then I can start sewing them together. I chose to work on my memory quilts this time.

I am off. Have a wonderful week everyone.

February Charlotte HWBH

Welcome to the Hearts of the West team blog hop.

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features

This months challenge is the Charlotte paper pack, brought to you by the Expressions 1 2016, hand picked from Nancy Klein.

I chose to do the new Workshop Your Way as we did this one in December at the CTMH creative afternoon. The new workshops do not include a stamp set. They now have card scrapbooking pages that you cut apart. These can be used on the pages or pocket scrapbooking.

With the kit I got 6 pages, 9 cards and 2 pocket scrapbook pages done.  The card blanks can be ordered separately. I order the 50 pack so I always have them on hand. When you order the kit you can go to my website and  print off the instructions to make all of the projects.
