Happy Easter

Hello Everyone,

I am going to be busy this weekend.

I have created my Easter cards and they were fun to make. Everything on the cards are CTMH except the doily. I love the bird from the Hoppy Easter stamp set.  I actually like the whole stamp set.

I had fun trying new things such as dying the flowers and using the alcohol markers to colour the seam binding.

I have also made the mini book from the catalogue.  It was fun to create and got me using my gypsy and cricut again.  I hadn't used either in a while.  I had to dig out my gypsy book to figure a few things out and
away I went.

There of course were a couple of things I learned along the way.  One of them was to not use too fancy a circle and to score some in a little different spot.

My next one is going to be a Halloween one I think.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Scrapbook Club Pictures

There are 4 ladies in our scrapbook club and they have been making some amazing pages.  I got to take pictures (as I finally remembered) and below are two of the ladies pages.

They usually get 4 pages done and we have lunch.  We have done the Chantilly, Buzz and Bumble and now we are moving on to the Claire work shop by Close To My Heart.

They are fun to do. Some of the ladies take the pages home to add pictures as they aren't sure or have changed what pictures they are using.

We usually get everything cut and then put together as much as possible depending on what pictures they would like to put on the pages.

Here are a couple of the pages for the Buzz and Bumble:

Awesome pages Sharon and Shirley.  I can't wait until Saturday at Glidden to see what else these Ladies will create.  Michelle I am looking forward to see your pages with the pictures.  I can then show them off as well.
Thank you ladies for sharing ideas and coming to have some fun.

My Whoo's Are Done

Well finally finished my Whoo's, took the pictures and now am finally getting them posted.

They were fun to make.  Now I think that I will make some tubes just for fun.  But first get some Easter cards done.

My oldest son and daughter are in the background.  I used various punches and of course the Cricut.  It makes some nice bows and other shapes including the hearts for stamping on.

I have one kit left over if you want it for next Valentine's let me know.  Have a great day everyone.

New Tools

Hello everyone. This blog post is about a new tool by Creative Memories.  Even though I don not sell the products the following are my favourite.
I have the new punch handle and punches.  It just came today and I could not wait to try it out.  It works awesome. I hope to get rid of some of my punches as they bring out new ones.  At least the big ones with the large handles.

I guess we will see what other punches they come up with.

I have the border system and it is awesome.  I love it and it does 12 x 12 pages. It is easy to use.

Yay they now have an organizer for all of it.  It is awesome.  It holds both the punch handle, border maker and all the punches for both that I have at this time.  If I get more then I will need  another organizer.

I can't wait to use it on some pages and on cards.  I have been using the border maker for my Easter cards. When I am done making them I will post them with the list of products I used.

Have a great day everyone and to anyone crafting all day Saturday in Glidden I will see you then.

Hmmm.... I wonder what new and wonderful things Close To My Heart will be bringing out in May and in the next catalogue.  All the new stuff just makes me smile........

If anyone is interested in having a gathering email me or leave a message on my blog.  You can get more information on my website www.scrapbookfunbykerry.ctmh.com

Buzz and Bumble

Below are the pictures of the Buzz and Bumble workshop by CTMH.
I cut all pieces first and organized them according to page.  I then stamped, coloured and cut all the pieces such as flowers and flagging.  I then measured and stamped on the pages as required.
I then sponged everything except the white mats for the pictures.
I chose all the pictures for the pages and decided where they would go and then cut them to fit the mats.
I cut 2 extra mats for the first page for the 4x6 picture I used so that it would look better on the 5x7 mat.  One mat was 1/4 inch bigger than the picture and the next mat was 1/4 inch bigger than the first mat. Then they were all put together and attached to the white mat. I raised this mat and then put a journal box in behind it.
For page 3 I did not have a 10x8 so I cut 6 pictures that fit the space.  That way I also got to use more pictures and would save a page or two.  I am finally getting our Denver trip done.  Only a few more pages to go.
Some of my pictures are a little blurry.  I think I need to use a tripod.

Happy Scrapbooking Everyone and I hope you all were safe and warm today as the snow fell and blew everywhere.

CTMH Work Shop On The Go

I had fun doing this Canvas Art Work.  My daughter and son on her graduation in 2008.  We had fun taking pictures at the old school, our yard and also at a friends yard.

It was a beautiful day.  I am glad we did the pictures the week before grad as it poured rain on the big day.

This workshop comes with different colours and I combined them to make this art work.
I also made a few other changes to accommodate the pictures I chose.

Check this out and many other excellent ideas on my website and the other pages listed above.

Today

The weather outside is frightful. Curling and scrapbooking is delightful.

We have snow and blowing snow today.  At times I can hardly see the highway and It is not far from my house. If anyone is on the highway be safe and if you do not need to be out there stay home and enjoy the time doing something you are passionate about.

I am working on the Buzz and Bumble workshop on the go kit.  I have two more pages to go and then
I can post them. I have had fun working on them and staying warm.

I am watching curling as well and a very different version of Snow White.  I don't think I would let young
children watch it but it is interesting.

I am grateful today for a roof over my head and being warm and cozy.

Have a great day everyone.  Stay warm and stay safe.
