Posts

Well haven't been posting much. I am trying to get my year end done and month end done. I would sooner be in my scrapbook room but maybe this weekend.

I have to take pictures  of a project or two and get them on here.

I have to print a picture. I had them all printed and moved a picture for the layout I was doing forgetting  I had moved my ink pad and ended up with ink on my picture. Hmmmm...... Should remember that I moved the ink pad. LOL

Hope all my American neighbours had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends and are having a great weekend.

Hope all my family and friends are staying safe and that the weather improves over the next few days. Snow days are great when you have time to be in your crafting room.

Take care everyone and I think I will enjoy my snow days this weekend. Mind you we aren't getting the snow that some areas are getting.

Off to bake gluten free lemon squares for Sunday. They are the best and my husband forbade me to make them. He doesn't usually eat desert but these..............

Hearts Of The West November Blog Hop

If this is your first time joining us you will love it. It features Close to my Heart Consultants from all over Canada showing you their projects. The Hearts of the West was founded by Nancy Klein.
This month's challenge is Yuletide Carol paper pack, brought to you by the new Annual Inspirations, hand picked by Nancy Klein.

If you came from  Julie Kerr then you're in the right place. This is a go around blog hop so you can start anywhere! Just in case, the full list will be at the bottom. So, as always, grab your coffee, tea, water, relax, and hop around the team with us.

I used the Yuletide Carol paper pack X7187B, Cricut Artfully Sent Cartridge Z3017, Black/Grey Glitter Paper Pack Z1829, Mini Medley Accents Ruby Z1861 & Black Z1862.
Both the black and silver were cut using the cartridge. I used ruby scraps behind the Christmas Blessing.  I used pieces of the zip strips and scraps for the card. I used Stardust Stickles around the star. I used a home made mist and sprayed the front of the card (I have had the mist mixed for a while and cannot remember the ink I used). I used pieces of the ruby and black mini medleys.

Cut Above Treat Bag Kits

Hello Everyone,
I have made some cute bags with treats. I used the Halloween Z2058 and Holiday Z2057 Kits.
They are easy to do and very cute when finished.
There are 10 bags in each kit.
I used the mini stapler to staple the bags closed and it worked great.
I used Glacier and Topiary ink for the Holiday. Thistle and Slate ink for the Halloween.
The stamp set is Sweet Salutations B1466. Oh you also need a block. I used a 2 x 2.

Something to remember is not to buy candy wrapped in waxy type paper.  You have to use glue to make the stickers stick.  It took longer to make the Halloween bags because of it.
The candy for the Holiday bags are wrapped in a cellophane wrapper so the stickers stuck and were done in no time.

You do not need a lot of time to make them. It took more time to decide what candy I wanted to use.

I have some other stuff on the go. I have most of the cutting done for a number of Work Shops on the Go.  Some from the new Annual Inspirations and some from the previous Idea Book. Can't wait to finish the cutting of the Cricut shapes for the last three scrapbook kits.  They will be done. LOL

Have a great day tomorrow and happy scrapbooking!

Cut Above Thank You Card Kit and Happy Birthday Card Kit

Cut above Kits are easy and pretty.  You need the kit, an ink and a stamp set.

For the Thank You Card Kit I used the You Mean The World To Me B1467 stamp set and White Daisy pigment ink.

Stamped and let dry

Glued the precut pieces.

Added the pop ups that come in the kit.

Tied the bow and attached the pieces.
Voila!
Easy and finished in no time.

This is the finished product of the Cut Above Birthday. I used the same stamp set and Pacifica Ink.
Also very easy. I enjoyed making them.
For people who do not want to spend a lot of time making cards but want a homemade card to send these are for you. Beautiful, fun and you still made them!

Today is Base and Bling

Hello Everyone,

I finally have my scrapbooking room moved. Now to finish moving the rest of the rooms.
My guests today will not see a super clean house but thanks to my husband I did not have to
vacuum this morning and he took out all my boxes and garbage.

Some work yet to do but did have time to play with the new Cricut cartridge from CTMH.
Made a cute pop up card. I got some ink on it. I did not pay attention to some ink I got on my
hand. Good job I am keeping the card. LOL. I will have to make a new one to give away.

I am now off to do some Cricut cut shapes for some of the WSOTG that I started before the move.

Check the videos on some of the cool new and old products and how to use them. I am off to use
the new ones I just got. Try them anyway before the ladies get here.

Have a great Saturday everyone!!

Moving Rooms Around

Hello Everyone,

I have been busy learning to use a new tool on the web. It has been interesting and fun.

I have not been doing much scrapbooking as I am moving three rooms around so that I may have more room for my quilting and scrapbooking. So the spare room stuff is waiting to go into my old scrapbooking room. That is going to be a huge job to empty the scrapbooking room but needs to be done before next weekend.

I was going to start club this month but due to moving stuff around that will have to wait until October.

I am still hosting the Base and Bling next weekend and showing off the new product.  Come out one and all and see the new product. It is awesome.

Have a great day everyone.  If I do not post for a day or two you now know why. Off to get more stuff moved.

Have a great day and happy crafting.

Cards

Hello Everyone,

Two posts in one day.  How exciting!

I made these cards for a blog hop and did not get them done in time.  I decided to finish them and post them here.

I had to use CTMH Buttercup, Sorbet, Pear, Outdoor Denim, Sky and Whisper.
I used all CTMH Product.

I used a White Daisy Card Base for the big card and Colonial White for the small card.
I used the Black Archival stamp pad for the butterflies and then coloured them with Sky, Sorbet and Buttercup alcohol markers.
Dream Big was stamped using Your Own Kind Of Wonerful stamp set and Outdoor Denim ink.
I used the whisper fundamental, outdoor denim and pear paper. Distressed the edges with whisper ink
and an edge distresser.  I attached the whisper and the outdoor denim to the card and then used 3d tape to addhere the pear and then the butterfly piece. Added some bling!!!

The small card was stamped using the same stamp set. I stamped off and then stamped them on a scrap piece of  white daisy.  It was just a trial piece to see what colours I liked and this then inspired me to use it and make this small card.
I used whisper, sorbet and buttercup to stamp the butterflies, tore some small areas, stamped in sky "You are loved" and then layered it on outdoor denim and pear.
I used 3d tape to adhere the butterfly piece to the blue.
Then some bling had to make it sparkle.  I was making these at the camper and thought of some cool bling but alas it was at home.

If you have any questions just contact me.

We have new Shin Han alcohol markers. I have tried them and love them. I can't wait to get busy using them. I have another card idea that I am going to use them on. As soon as it is done I will post it on here.

Have a great day and happy crafting.

New Inspiration Book

Hello Everyone,
It has been a while since I have been on here. Golfing, crafting and yard work have kept me busy these past weeks.

I hope you all are having a great summer.

Here are some of the things I have been up to.
SNOWHAVEN CARDMAKING WORKSHOP

CUT ABOVE HOLIDAY CARD KIT
This was fun and easy to do. One stamp set for this and the Christmas one below.
One stamp pad - I used Ruby- and a tape runner.

This one is the  CUT ABOVE CHRISTMAS CARD KIT
It uses the same stamp set and stamp pad as the one above.
I made both of these in an evening.

If you want these just go to my web site scrapbookfunbykerry.ctmh.com and check out all the cool new product there is to purchase and make.
Have a great day.

Base & Bling

I finally got around to making my base and bling necklace. I made one in May at a conference I attended and gave it to my daughter.
Now this one is for me.
When my order comes I will make one of the new ones. Maybe a rectangle or an oval. I am not sure yet.
Well maybe I will make both.

I am going to change how I connected the charms and have them hang from the chain instead of attaching them to the chain.

I am going to host a base and bling get together late August or early September. I will post the date and time once I know more.

I have cut all the paper to make some Christmas cards. The new workshop is quite nice. I will post the pictures as soon as I have them finished.

I have my daughter coming this weekend and will be taking a milk paint class. I have the dresser cleaned and ready to take. I guess I won't get too much scrapbooking done this weekend.

The New Catalogue

I am back from my holiday.  The weather is finally getting nice here. I thought I was going to freeze (a little exaggerated) as it was colder here than in Ireland.  I like to think we brought the nice weather back with us.   We had awesome weather while in Ireland.  I really enjoyed my time with my husband and my family from England.

I have been getting caught up these past few days and have a few more things to do to kind of be back to normal.

I have received my new catalogues, Annual Inspirations. There is so much that I want but alas could only order a few of my favs to work on so I can show off the new product. I am excited to start sharing the new product starting August 1.

I am looking forward to getting and using the new Cricut cartridge. I can't wait until August.

Have a great day.

Page Patterns

Hello again everyone.  I forgot to add a couple of pictures. I used CTMH product and my sewing machine. I have finally stepped outside my little box as I said and have been trying something new.

I started these pages with a page pattern I made. I enjoyed doing it. I stitched around the outside of all the papers and then some of the corners of each square and added bling. I have since did another two page spread page pattern page and  now to make them.

I think that I am liking page patterna more and more. I haven't printed any of my newer pictures that way I can print them the size I need for any page pattern I choose to use.  I do love the CTMH books for pages and cards. So many good ideas.

Have a great week.

Some CTMH

Hello Everyone,
Two posts in one night. Here are some things I have been working on.

First are pictures of the new Free To Be Me paper pack available this month for $5 when you purchase $50 worth of product. I got it and had to use it right away. I did the pages then decided what pictures I was going to add.

I had fun doing the pages. If you order the paper pack I will include the printout of the pages and cards.  The design team at CTMH have created some awesome designs.

I have finally finished the Surf's Up WSOTG and now will have to add the photos. I do believe I will add some more pictures from Nice.

I will add more as I get pictures added. I am working on a Picture My Life project and can't wait to put pictures on here to share.  I am scrapbooking 1994 photos.
Have a fun week and I hope you get some crafting and scrapbooking done.
